U.S. Army fields Ukraine-inspired mobile fire teams to counter drones

The U.S. Army has deployed Mobile Fire Teams in Lithuania, implementing a tactical concept developed and tested by Ukrainian forces during their conflict with drone swarms since 2022. This deployment is part of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative along NATO’s eastern border. Soldiers from the 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 52nd ADA Brigade conducted zeroing operations as part of the fielding effort.
