Mirai-Based xlabs_v1 Botnet Exploits ADB to Hijack IoT Devices for DDoS Attacks

Cybersecurity researchers have discovered a new Mirai-derived botnet called xlabs_v1 that targets internet-exposed devices with Android Debug Bridge (ADB) enabled to recruit them into a network for conducting distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Hunt.io, which reported on the malware, made the discovery after finding an exposed directory hosted in the Netherlands.
