Times in Two Weeks According to a senior US defence official, US and coalition forces have been attacked 23 times in Iraq and Syria between October 17 and October 26, 2023. The attacks were carried out using a combination of one-way attack drones and rockets. The groups responsible for the attacks are supported by Iran and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Washington accuses Iran of being involved in these actions, that it is Iranian proxy attacks, and US warplanes last week launched strikes against two facilities in eastern Syria used by the Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran’s elite military force, and organizations affiliated with them, according to US Defence Secretary, Lloyd Austin. The Pentagon said that 21 soldiers were slightly injured in these attacks. The US official said there were no other casualties.

However, the situation is still concerning, given the frequency of the attacks. The US has been conducting retaliatory strikes on Iranian-linked targets in Syria since October 28, 2023. The situation is still developing, and we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
